About Us

In  The Beginning

In 1995 Kim Victoria and T.E. Watson wed and very shortly thereafter decided to be entrepreneurs and create graphics software for use by the Scottish/Irish/Celtic community as there was virtually none at that time. Thus was established Highlander Software. Soon rubber stampers began to clamor for images for their artistic use. As this was a new concept Kim and T.E. went to a rubber stamp convention and were amazed at what they saw. That very day they met their Stamp Guru, Lori Haven, who became a wondrous friend and advisor. Karen and Carlos of  www.Alextamping.com taught them about the business itself, which led them to Jim of www.Circustamps.com a master of vulcanizing, who presses all the HCS image rubber because they didn’t want to do it themselves. (Rubber is stinky when hot, needs giant refrigerators to preserve it before pressing, and can be finicky stuff to press) Very soon the whole family was involved in the new business, and next the original version of the web site was created by Jared White.  Now T.E. builds it in Dreamweaver.  www.HighlanderCelticStamps.com

Today

The rubber is still pressed by Jim and cut out by Kim and her Mom. Kim wears most of the hats in the business: drawing/designing, digitizing, manufacturing, inventory, marketing/ad creation, sales, order fulfillment, bookkeeping, etc. T.E. cuts the wood and keeps up the web site. The original graphics software libraries are still available for those who need digital images.
